About Cherry Tree House

Cherry Tree House is a charming residential care home for the elderly situated just a short walk from Wendover, a beautiful old market town with plenty of character. We are family owned and operated, and our wonderful team pride themselves on the warm, friendly atmosphere they provide to residents and visitors of our petite home-from-home.

We support individuals to live as independently as possible, with the reassurance of personalised care whenever it’s needed. At Cherry Tree House, our wellness philosophy supports residents to achieve personal goals, take up new hobbies, nurture relationships and feel safe while doing so.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms are fully furnished, however when you move in you are encouraged to furnish your room with anything that will make you feel at home. Each bedroom has a discreet call bell system to enable residents to call for assistance from staff.

There is a flat screen TV and access to Wi-Fi to encourage residents to stay connected to their friends, family and the wider community. All bedrooms have an ensuite or a bathroom nearby, with comfortable access that promotes independence and privacy.

Lounge and Dining Room

These areas are the hubs of the home where residents can socialise, engage in group activities and dine together. The lounge is equipped with a large, smart television and a selection of books, films and music for residents to choose from. The dining room is bright and intimate with access to hot and cold drink machines, as well as fruit and freshly made sweet treats.

Quiet Lounge

Our quiet lounge is a serene space set back from the main lounge and dining area, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily activities. Residents often enjoy a book by the cosy fire or gather for our much-loved Knit & Natter club. This inviting space also serves as a quiet, private area for residents and their visitors to socialise and connect. With access to games like chess and scrabble, and our food and drink station just around the corner, this intimate room is a warm, welcoming place for everyone.

Courtyard and Gardens

Accessible from the lounge and dining room, Cherry Tree House courtyard and garden is a lovely open space that comprises plenty of seating areas and residents are free to explore the gardens as they wish. The courtyard encompasses an array of plants and raised planters to encourage residents to get involved with gardening and planting various herbs, fruits and vegetables. We encourage our residents to make use of these beautiful outdoor spaces all year round by arranging outdoor activities such as gardening and walking.

Our Wellness Philosophy

Salveo Care’s emphasis on a holistic approach to wellness, integrating physical health, mental wellbeing, community, and spirituality, sets it apart. This approach goes beyond traditional care models, focusing on the overall wellbeing of residents.

Wellness and activity

We take time getting to know our residents. We help people settle in by finding out a little about their past experiences and talking to them about what they might enjoy and be interested in now. Every individual will have a different perspective of what adds value, meaning and purpose to their life.

Personalised physical activity plans

Each resident receives a tailored exercise plan suited to their abilities and preferences. Whether it’s gentle chair yoga, walks in the garden, or strength training sessions, physical activity is integrated into people’s daily schedules to enhance mobility, balance, and vitality. We can even offer trips to the local swimming pool, or personalised sessions with our physiotherapist.

Nourishing home cooked food

We provide quality food, using fresh ingredients, cooked daily by our experienced in-house chefs. We ensure that all dietary requirements are catered for and different tastes and preferences are accommodated. Our menus are regularly reviewed, updated seasonally and alternative options always made available to our residents.

A healthy, balanced diet with plenty of variety is at the heart of our ethos, but we also pride ourselves on catering for different tastes and exploring diverse cuisines based on our residents’ interests. View a sample menu here.

Additional Services

You can continue enjoying all the activities you love and explore new hobbies with our full support. We offer weekly visits from our hairdresser, or you can choose to visit your own. We can facilitate beauty and holistic treatments, and we encourage visits to social clubs and local groups.

Residents and their families can look forward to themed parties at the home, as well joining us on varied outings, which range from a gentle visit to the local garden centre, an exciting boat trip or attending Royal Ascot. We warmly encourage you to invite your friends and family to join in the fun, they are always welcome at Cherry Tree House.

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. Driven by a desire to muck in and make a difference during ...

such a critical time, I started my career in care whilst studying my psychology degree. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with elderly care and I decided to pursue every opportunity to learn and progress in this field once I had finished my degree. I have a passion for high quality care, clinical oversight and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ wellbeing, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team. My job, friends and family bring me immense joy in life and I truly value these meaningful connections.

given the opportunity to study and achieve my Level 2 NVQ in Housekeeping and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. I am passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and I will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. I am proud to be part of a team that I know provides excellent care, and for this to be reflected in our recent CQC inspection report and reviews from residents and relatives. Outside of work I like nothing more than exploring our local countryside with my family.
