Our Story

Salveo Care was born from a personal experience shared by Peter and Kate Evans. When faced with the task of finding a care home for a loved one, they were dismayed by the substandard facilities and care available. Determined to make a difference, they envisioned a new kind of elderly care - one where cleanliness, comfort, and exceptional care were paramount. Drawing on Kate’s background as a nurse and Peter’s experience in the public sector, they opened their first care home in 2011, dedicated to providing a beautiful, warm home their residents would feel proud and safe to live in.

Their commitment to outstanding care inspired their daughter, Grace, to join the family business in 2019. As a student, Grace was immersed in Salveo Care’s mission, helping with refurbishments, administration, and spending time with residents and their families. She realised that many people never get the opportunity to work so closely with elderly people in need of care and their families. This realisation fuelled her to take on the family business, with a mission to transform people’s perception of older people and care more generally. Her passion for wellness and the importance of a community is what drives her to enhance the lives of both staff and residents, creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels welcome.

As Salveo Care continues to grow, we are excited to embark on a new journey, building a state-of-the-art care home while continuing to operate Cherry Tree House in Wendover. Our mission remains steadfast: we envision a future where aging is about living. We will change the perception of care by creating an environment where individuals feel safe to flourish, families find support and wellness becomes a way of life for those who choose to live and work in our home.

Wellness

Wellness is about making people feel their best, inside and out. We encourage the people who live and work in our home to take an active role in their own wellness, and support them to achieve good health, happiness and strength in all aspects of their life.

Compassion

We treat individuals with kindness and compassion, always assuming best intentions. Every interaction matters, and we make sure that warmth is felt in every single one. It’s this approach of genuine care that sets us apart and allows us to maintain the high standards we pride ourselves on.

Trust is the foundation of everything we do. Our residents, their families, and our team know they can rely on us to do the right thing, acting with honesty and transparency. We want you to feel safe and relaxed knowing that you’re in good hands and everything is taken care of.

Belonging

Recognising humans as inherently social beings, we’ve created a community where everyone feels valued, connected and at home. It’s a space where relationships are genuine, actions are meaningful, and individuals are empowered to live with purpose in a place they belong.

Building in Sustainability

Many organisations talk about sustainability, but what does it mean for a care home?

We promote wellness by ensuring a healthier environment through energy-efficient systems, waste reduction and the use of eco-friendly materials, as well as promoting biodiversity in our gardens. We have created a ‘green plan’ to outline our strategies to improve environmental quality and make progress towards sustainability. Embracing sustainability aligns with our ethical responsibilities as care providers and by reducing our carbon footprint, we contribute positively to environmental conservation efforts to ensure a thriving environment for future generations to grow old in.

Grace Holland

Managing Director

I am honoured to be Salveo Care’s nominee and committed to keeping residents safe and happy. With a psychology degree and passion for wellness, I seek ways to improve residents' quality of life. I aim to lead my team to positively impact individuals and elderly care. Open-minded, I embrace learning through podcasts, documentaries, and conversations. I also enjoy being a mum, creative activities, and hosting guests.

Peter Evans

CEO

My health and social care journey began in 2010 after careers in policing, construction, and ICT consulting. I owned residential and nursing homes in South Bucks and chaired the Buckinghamshire Care Providers Association. Passionate about our sector's values, I promote knowledge sharing. As CEO, I prioritise residents' wellbeing, business development, and strong networks to ensure the best care outcomes.

Abi Smith

Care Relations Manager

I have over 12 years in Health & Social Care, supporting adults with elderly care, mental health, and addiction needs. Care is my passion, and I treat every resident like family. I worked at Salveo Care in 2019 and returned in 2022 to join Operations, supporting managers and improving care quality. In my free time, I enjoy family, friends, walking my dog, and exploring new places.

Grace Russell

Business Manager

I've been with Salveo Care since 2020, progressing through administration, HR, and finance into my current role. I enjoy being part of a growing organisation where I can support both our staff and the wider business, while helping to ensure things run smoothly behind the scenes. I’m passionate about creating a positive workplace and making a genuine difference through my role. Outside of work, I’m a mum to a lovely little girl and enjoy spending quality time with her, as well as catching up with family and friends.

Philippa Honosutomo

Marketing & Communications

I have worked in marketing and communications since graduating in Design Management, driven by a passion for brands and effective storytelling. I started in a busy agency, gaining experience across clients and sectors. I moved to Salveo Care, a family-run business matching my values and desire to help others. Outside work, life is busy with my two children, hosting family, home projects, and catching up with friends.

Sian Bhagat

HR & Finance Coordinator

I have worked in HR for the past four years and have always loved connecting with people, building relationships and making sure employees feel valued, supported and cared for. I’m incredibly excited to work within the care sector and to be part of the Salveo Care team, and have always had a real passion for people. Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with friends and family and finding any excuse for a holiday in the sun.
